The Fein Multimaster FMM 250Q top can be used for a wide variety of home jobs and professional projects. This tool offers a powerful, precise oscillation design with 12,000 to 21,000 oscillations per minute. A 16.4 foot cord allows for extra reach. Its also lightweight with a great ergonomic design, making it easy to grip and use in a wide variety of projects. The 250Q also has a QuickIN rapid clamping system. This allows tool-free accessory changes.
Its versatility is unmatched, and the extra attachments provide even more options such as dust removal, sanding, depth stops to cut into wood or plaster walls. The Fein will assist with furniture assembly such as fitting work surfaces. This multimaster tool allows you to get into those hard-to-reach places for cabinet installation or other projects. Use the FMM 250Q to help lay down new flooring from start to finish, while working flush to any surface. Replace broken tiles from a floor or wall using this tool to get the grout out.

Cutting some ventilation holes in the attic was quick and easy without having to create a starter hole using a separate tool. Fine sanding window frames for restaining was a breeze! Doing this by hand (and I have) is not only tedious, but very time consuming and frustrating when you can not get into the seams and corners. The MultiMaster was had no problems; and the velcro like attachment of the sandpaper makes tool set-up so simple. The only drawbaks are: price, weight and noise. You should definately wear hearing protection when using the tool. The weight is can easily tire you on a long job where the tool is used overhead; however, it is proper for allowing the tool to do the work when sanding. The price of course is very high. It is definately worth the price if you have many projects where the tool works best (cutting into pannels or baseboard & detail sanding for example)."

"I saw this tool advertised for years and never gave a second thought to purchase one. It appeared to me to be a tool used for one or two different jobs and not good at doing any very well.
In the past I used a router to trim some window extensions (not good results), and a utility knife to cut carpet. I would remove a door to trim the bottom and I would use a sawsall to cut flooring up to the wall and a roto-duster to cut outlet holes and remove grout by hand. But now I use the Fein MultiMaster for all of this and more. It does everything the promotions claim. That's a first for me! I don't understand some of the disappointments aimed at this tool. I came to believe that $15 for an E-cut blade is a reasonable price.
If a person has never had to remove grout by hand the price of the cutter may seem high but at least for me, it's a very reasonable price and could be considered low. I don't find the blades dull quickly at all. I've not used the sanding pad so I can't comment.
After I purchased the Fein MultiMaster Top Kit I happened upon an infomercial on tv. It's a good thing I bought it before seeing that because that infomercial comes across to me a bit cheesy. Somewhat related to the Ronco slicer-dicer. But it really isn't, it's a solid tool that should last a life time.
If you do any remodeling or some of the projects that I've mentioned you won't be sorry for this purchase and will wonder how you've gotten along without it."
